The Mable is a river in France that runs through the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Center-Val de Loire regions. It rises in the municipality of Orches , generally drains in a northerly direction, passes the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Nature Park in the lower reaches and flows into the Veude as a left tributary after 25 kilometers in the municipality of Champigny-sur- Veude . On its way, the Mable crosses the Vienne and Indre-et-Loire departments .

Attractions

The river crosses the city of Richelieu, which was built in the 17th century by order of Cardinal Richelieu and has a rectangular, absolutely symmetrical plan within the city walls. The Mable is used there to supply water to the parks and the city moat.
