Galina Murašova

Galina Murašova (also Russian Галина Мурашова , Galina Muraschowa ; born December 22, 1955 in Vilnius ) is a former Lithuanian discus thrower who competed for the Soviet Union in the 1980s .

In 1980 she was seventh at the Olympic Games in Moscow and in 1982 sixth at the European Athletics Championships in Athens .

At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 and at the friendship competitions , which the Eastern Bloc countries organized in 1984 as a substitute for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles , which they boycotted , she won silver. At the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, she was eliminated in qualification.

In 1983 and 1988 she became Soviet champion. Her best length of 72.14 m, set up on August 17, 1984 in Prague, is the Lithuanian national record to this day.
