The Galitscher Lake ( Russian Галичское озеро ) is a lake in the Russian Oblast Kostroma .
The Galitscher See lies in the Galitscher heights at a height of 100 m . The small town of Galitsch is located on the south bank. The lake has an area of 75.4 km². It has an east-west extension of 17 km and a maximum width of 6.4 km. The Wjoksa drains the Galitscher See west to the Kostroma .
The Galitscher See is a shallow body of water with a maximum water depth of 5 m. At the end of October the water surface freezes. It will open again in mid-April.
