Gallhof (Vahrn)

Gallhof

The Gallhof is a residence in Vahrn in South Tyrol . In its place was probably the ancestral seat of the Lords of Vahrn in the 13th century . In 1506 the facility was completely rebuilt. From 1556 to 1747 it was owned by the Lords of Gall , after whom the residence is named.

The Gallhof has been a listed building since 1986 . The building has a square tower, which represents the core of the complex, a pointed arch gate , a central courtyard and spacious cellars. Several two-storey polygonal oriels protrude from the building, as well as a three-storey square bay with a wooden balcony on the upper floor.
