Gallieno Ferri
Gallieno Ferri alias Fergal (born March 21, 1929 in Genoa ; † April 2, 2016 there ) was an Italian comic artist .
life and work
Ferri turned to drawing comics only after a few years as a surveyor . Il fantasma verde and Piuma Rossa were among his first drawings . From 1949 Ferri drew the Maskar series . He created several western comics for the Catholic comic magazine Il Vittorioso in the 1950s. In cooperation with the author Guido Nolitta , the western comic Zagor was created in 1961 , which from then on made up a large part of his work and was published in German by Walter Lehning Verlag under the title Rocky in 1964 and 1965 . For the series Mister No , also written by Nolitta , which was started in 1975, he drew the first album and designed the first 115 cover pictures.
Ferri, who signed his panels with Fergal , also worked for the French and English comic markets.
