The Gamalejafjellet ( Russian Гора Гамалеи Gora Gamalei ) is a mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises in the eastern part of the Sør Rondane mountains .
Russian scientists named it after the Russian writer and navigation scientist Platon Jakowlewitsch Gamaleja (1766-1817). Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute translated this name into Norwegian.
