Gantoftadose

Gantoftadösen (also Jättestugan - German  "Riesenhaus" ) is a somewhat destroyed dolmen in Kvistofta, in the municipality of Helsingborg in Skåne in Sweden . The one with the RAÄ no. Kvistofta 14: 1 registered dolmen ( Swedish Döse ) was built between 3500 and 2800 BC. Built by the carriers of the funnel beaker culture (TBK; Swedish Trattbägarkulturen ).

The rectangular chamber was about 2.8 m long and 1.4 m wide. Three large bearing stones support a capstone 2.5 × 2.5 m and 1.0 m thick, which is split roughly in the middle. On the capstone ( Swedish takhällen ) there are nine bowls , by far the most common form of the Nordic petroglyphs .

Nearby lies Fastmårupsdösen .
