Gaomi

Gaomi ( Chinese 高密 市 , Pinyin Gāomì Shì ) is an independent city in the east Chinese province of Shandong . It belongs to the district-free city of Weifang and has an area of 1,603 km² with 850,000 inhabitants.

Gaomi is an up-and-coming business location with a diverse mix of industries: chemical industry, textile and shoe factories, plastics processing companies, electrical engineering industry and many toy manufacturers. In October 2008 the state government inaugurated the first photovoltaic industrial park in Shandong Province .
