Garry Brown (athlete)
Garry Brown (born October 27, 1954 ) is a former Australian hurdler who specialized in the 400-meter distance .
In 1977 he was sixth at the World Cup in Athletics in Düsseldorf . At the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton in 1978 , he won silver over the 400 m hurdles and bronze with the Australian team in the 4 x 400 meter relay .
A sixth place at the Athletics World Cup in Rome in 1981 was followed by a victory at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane with his personal best of 49.37 seconds.
From 1980 to 1982 he was Australian champion three times in a row.
