Gary "Nesta" Pine (* in Norwich , Port Antonio ) is a Jamaican reggae musician . He is the lead singer of Bob Marley's band The Wailers .

Life

Gary Pine was the lead singer with the Jamaican backing band City Heat from 1989 to 1997 and also tried to start a solo career. In 1997 he became lead singer for the Wailers.

Gary Pine became known to a wide audience in 2006 through the hit Love Generation by Bob Sinclar , in which he took over the vocal part. Officially, the artist is “Bob Sinclar presents Goleo VI feat. Gary "Nesta" Pine ". It was the official title for the World Cup mascot Goleo of the World Cup in Germany . He achieved gold status in Austria and Switzerland. In cooperation with Shaggy , Gary Pine reached the charts again in 2009 with the song Fly High .
