Growth-arrest-specific gene-6 ( gas6 for short ) is a vitamin K -dependent protein that binds in γ- carboxylated form to various receptors , for example to receptor tyrosine kinases . It influences cell growth and replication. The exact function of Gas6 has not yet been defined, but it is thought to be a physiological anti-inflammatory protein.
