The Einbeck Gasometer is a completely preserved gas container in the city of Einbeck .

The building was approved in 1910 for 290,000 marks and completed the following year. Operations began on December 6, 1911. The gasometer replaced its predecessor from 1865. In the 1950s, a second cracking plant for liquid gas was built. In 1961 the plant was stopped. Einbeck has had natural gas since 1972 .

It is a free-standing iron bell or telescopic gas container .
