Gaspard de Tressemanes de Brunet

Gaspard de Tressemanes de Brunet (* 1721 in Riez ; † September 5, 1784 in Franconville ) was Bishop of Glandèves from 1755 to 1771 .

Gaspard de Tressemanes-Brunet was the third son of Gaspard de Tressemanes, Lord of Brunet, and Madeleine de Bélier. He was canon at the Cathedral of St. Redeemer in Aix when he was appointed Bishop of Glandèves by the King in 1755 . He was consecrated on October 19 in the Church of the Grands-Augustins in Paris by Cardinal Rochefoucauld . Bishop Apchon of Dijon was also consecrated in the same ceremony . On 5 November 1766 he took over from his predecessor, Jean-Baptiste de Belloy the Abbey Saint-André de Villeneuve in the Diocese of Avignon as Coming .

Bishop Tressemanes resigned from office in 1771 and took over the Abbey of Saint-Georges de Boscherville in what is now the parish of Saint-Martin-de-Boscherville near Rouen . In 1779 he resigned here and retired to Franconville la Garenne near Pontoise , where he died in 1784.
