Guest (boat trip)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The guest (plural: guests) is a nautical term for a sailor . On ships and boats of the German Navy , it is the general name for crew ranks that have special tasks. The term guest is therefore generally used in combination with the field of activity of the seaman (eg. As belt guest , Schaluppengast , Pantrygast , Deck guest , medical guest , signalman and topman ). This also gives rise to ironic names for people on board who, in contrast to the crew, are more likely to be viewed as cargo , such as bather or coffee guest .
