The Gasthof Niederhermsdorf was located in the Freital district of Niederhermsdorf ( district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains ). It had the status of a cultural monument .

history

In the first half of the 19th century, the farm was mentioned in documents which it as Schänkgut auswiesen and thus entitled to own brew . The owners of the property on Niederhermsdorfer Hauptstrasse changed frequently. Friedrich Dolges, after whom the nearby Dolges houses are named, is recorded as the owner of 1843 .

Due to the Saxon rural community order of 1838 , a land register had to be created in Niederhermsdorf as well. In his draft made in 1840, the license was entered for the property to operate a bar and restaurant. In the years that followed, up to the Second World War , the house changed hands several times before it was used as a shelter for prisoners of war during the war . During the GDR era, the former inn housed a Konsum , which closed after 1990. In the winter months of the early 20th century, the gymnastics club was housed in the hall. Later it was used by the Free Evangelical Congregation.

After the last residents of the house had moved out, the property was auctioned off; The city of Freital bought part of it in order to be able to implement a transport project. The inn was demolished in July 2008.
