Gaston Godel
Gaston Godel (born August 19, 1914 in Givisiez ; † February 17, 2004 in Domdidier ) was a Swiss athlete specializing in walking . At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 Godel won the silver medal in 50 km walking in a personal best of 4: 48.17 hours behind the Swede John Ljunggren . In 1945, as well as in 1947 and 1948, Godel was Swiss champion.
