Gatschola gap

The Gatschola gap ( Italian Passo d'Orsirora ) is a mountain crossing in the Gotthard massif .

It lies at an altitude of 2527  m above sea level. M. between the Pizzo d'Orsirora in the north and the Pizzo dell'Uomo in the south and connects Realp in the north-west with the Gotthardstrasse north of the Gotthard hospice in the east. The border between the municipalities of Realp and Airolo runs at the top of the pass .

The name is considered to be Rätisch (mug, ladle).
