Vedran Đipalo (* 22. September 1977 in Sinj ) is a former Croatian boxer in the heavyweight division .

Career

Vedran Đipalo won a bronze medal at the European Championships in Pula in February 2004 , when he was only defeated in the semifinals against Alexander Alexejew . He then started in August 2004 at the Olympic Games in Athens , where he was eliminated in the first fight against Adam Forsyth. However, he defeated this in April 2005 at a tournament in the Czech Republic .

In June 2005 he won another bronze medal at the Mediterranean Games in Almería when he was eliminated in the semifinals against Clemente Russo . He also won bronze at the EU championships in Cagliari . At the 2005 World Championships in Mianyang , he lost in the first duel against Alexander Powernow .

In 2006 he won a bronze medal at the EU championships in Pécs , when he won against Clemente Russo this time. At the European Championships in 2006 in Plovdiv he remained medalless after a defeat in the first fight against Jarno Rosberg.

In 2007 he beat Memnun Hadžić , Clemente Russo and Danny Price at tournaments in Croatia, among others , secured another bronze medal at the EU Championships in Dublin and reached the second preliminary round at the World Championships in Chicago , where he failed to Milorad Gajović .

At the European Olympic qualification tournaments in Pescara and Athens in 2008 , he was eliminated by Terwel Pulew (12:13) and Mairis Briedis (5:16).
