The Gazi İlk Muallim Mektebi is an educational institution designed by Mimar Kemaleddin for teacher training and has been the dean's building of the Gazi Universitesi in Ankara since 1984 . The building was officially opened on December 19, 1930 under the name Gazi Mustafa Kemal Paşa Muallim Mektebi after the construction period 1927–1930 . It has also been called Gazi Eğitim Enstitüsü since the 1940s . It is located on the university campus in the Yenimahalle district .

The building is considered to be one of the last works of the architectural phase of the "first national current" ( birinci ulusal mimarlık akımı ). The three-story building with a basement has an observatory on the roof , which, however, could never be used as such due to the lack of facilities. In addition to the rectorate on the second and third floors, the faculty management for the teacher training course and various laboratories are now located on the ground floor.
