Geasar
Geasar SpA is the airport company of Olbia - Costa Smeralda Airport . She manages the development, the premises and the infrastructure of the airport. The airport company also includes the controlled companies Eccelsa Aviation Srl and Cortesa Srl.
history
Geasar was founded in 1985 and has been active since March 1989. In that year, the Ministry of Transport handed over the management of the airport and all its areas to the Geasar. In October 2004, after 15 years of work, the company was given a forty-year license as the sole airport operator.
Shareholder structure
As of February 2009, the company had the following shareholders:
- Meridiana (79.8%),
- Sassari Chamber of Commerce and Industry (10%),
- Nuoro Chamber of Commerce and Industry (8%),
- Autonomous Region of Sardinia (2%),
- Costa Smeralda Consortium (0.2%).
