Prayer for Ukraine (sculpture)
The memorial Prayer for Ukraine ( Ukrainian Молитва за Україну ) is a sculpture group opened in 2009 in the Ukrainian city of Baturyn .
The sculptures that were erected in the years 2008/09 by the Ukrainian sculptor Mykola Masur ( Микола Іванович Мазур ; 1948–2015) and his son Bohdan Masur ( Богдан Миколайович Мазур ; * 1969) are part of the national historical monument protection group . Hetman Residence ” by Baturyn and was opened on January 22nd, 2009 with the participation of Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko .

The group of sculptures, cast from bronze, is on a round arched base and depicts five Ukrainian hetmans , whose active time was in the period when Baturyn was the capital of the Cossack hetmanate .
These are, in particular: Demjan Mnohohrischnyj , Ivan Samojlowytsch , Ivan Masepa , Pylyp Orlyk , and Kirill Rasumowski .
In a fictitious meeting, they are symbolically gathered around a table on which a map of the Ukraine is spread out in order to achieve one goal together: Ukraine on the one hand. In 2014, interlaced semi-arches were added to the three pillars, over which a figure of the Mother of God hovers.
