Ged Quinn

Ged Quinn (* 1963 in Liverpool ) is a British painter.

Quinn studied at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art at Oxford University , the Slade School of Art in London , the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam .

His allegorical paintings, painted in the technique of the old masters, are based on models such as Claude Lorrain and Caspar David Friedrich , but often contain current allusions and alienations. In the fall of 2010, Quinn's painting In Heaven Everything is Fine fetched £ 50,000 at the Frieze Art Fair in London.
