Ken Guru & the Highjumpers was a German ska and reggae band.
Band history
The band from Dresden or Radebeul was founded in 2005 in Dresden. In 2008 her debut album was released, entitled "The Sound of Ken Guru & the Highjumpers", which was very well received in the scene. Numerous concerts followed throughout Germany. Musically, the band is based on traditional Ska, Rocksteady and Early Reggae.
Since 2010 the band has performed less often. Members of Ken Guru & The Highjumpers are still active in various bands such as Bobby Pins & The Saloon Soldiers, The Floorettes and building (s). Since then the band has mostly performed in the area around Dresden, but has also been a backing band for the Jamaican Winston Francis in Germany and Austria several times.
