Geert Van Bondt

Geert Van Bondt (born November 18, 1970 in Ninove ) is a former Belgian cyclist .

Geert Van Bondt was a professional from 1993 to 2004. His greatest success was winning the Gent-Wevelgem race in 2000 , where he left Peter Van Petegem , Johan Museeuw and Tristan Hoffman behind, among others . In the same year he took part for the only time in the Tour de France , which he finished in 118th place in the final. Also in 2000 he took second place in the Kuurne – Brussels – Kuurne race behind Andrej Tschmil and in front of Jaan Kirsipuu , Romāns Vainšteins and Jo Planckaert .
