Jo Planckaert (born December 16, 1970 in Deinze , Belgium ) is a former Belgian cyclist .

In 1987 Planckaert won the Belgian Junior Championship. In 1989 he was able to register himself on the list of winners of the Tour of Flanders for juniors. From 1991 he drove various professional teams. During his career he achieved a total of 38 victories. In 1997 he was represented in the driver field of the Tour de France , in which he did not, however, reach the time limit in the 14th stage. In 2004 he ended his active professional career after doping agents were found in a house search and he was banned for two years. A Belgian court sentenced him in 2008 to a ten-month suspended sentence and a fine of 2500 euros.

Jo Planckaert comes from a family of cyclists . His father, Willy Planckaert, was the winner of the green jersey at the 1966 Tour de France . His uncles Eddy and Walter Planckaert and his cousin Francesco Planckaert were professional cyclists.
