Borg El Arab prison
The Borg El Arab prison is located at Borg El Arab about 45 km southwest of Alexandria .
In prison male inmates are housed. In 2014 there were 250 Egyptians and eight foreigners. In January 2014, a visitor was shot dead while visiting her husband in prison. In 2016, the prisoners went on hunger strike.
Ahmed Said , from Egypt , who worked as a vascular surgeon in Frankfurt am Main , has also been in prison since the end of 2015 . Said was sentenced to 2 years in prison, the appeal did not change that.
