Borg El Arab ( Arabic برج العرب, DMG Burǧ al-ʿArab ) is a city in al-Iskandariyya Governorate in Egypt , 45 kilometers southwest of Alexandria . It has 113,209 inhabitants (as of 2006). It is located on the Mediterranean .

Infrastructures include the Burg al-ʿArab airport , the Borg el-ʿArab stadium and the Borg El Arab prison .
