Community hunting district

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A community hunting district is formed by the areas of a community that are connected as a hunting cooperative , thus all areas of a community that do not belong to an own hunting district if they cover at least 150 hectares in connection  . In the hunting laws of the German federal states , these area values can be increased, for example in the Bavarian Alps with their foothills to 500 ha.

It does not matter whether the hunt is actually allowed to be practiced on the individual areas . That is why streets and sports facilities, pacified areas and built-up areas also belong to the area of communal hunting districts. The area of a communal hunting district that can actually be hunted by the hunting tenant is correspondingly smaller, as hunting is not permitted in pacified areas or in places where public peace , security or order would be disturbed or people endangered.

The lease period is usually ten or 12 years.
