Genaro Hernandez
Genaro Hernandez (born May 10, 1966 in Los Angeles , California , United States - June 7, 2011 ) was an American boxer of Mexican descent in super featherweight . He was a normal boom and was trained by his brother Rudy Hernandez .
Career
On November 22nd in 1991 he competed against the French Daniel Londas for the vacant world champion belt of the WBA association and defeated him with a technical knockout in round 9. He defended this belt a total of eight times in a row. On September 9, 1999 he lost him by giving up in the 6th round to Óscar de la Hoya .
In March 1997 he defeated Azumah Nelson by split point decision and thereby won the world title of the WBC . He defended this title three times and lost it on October 3, 1998 to Floyd Mayweather Jr. This fight was also his last.
