General of the Air Intelligence Force
General of the Luftnachrichtentruppe was a military rank in the Air Force ( Wehrmacht 1935-1945 ).
It corresponded to that of a general in the branch of arms . This general rank was only awarded three times for the air intelligence force of the Air Force and thus represents a special feature within the ranking system.
A general in the intelligence service was assigned as a rank for the army .
Similar rank designations were introduced by the Wehrmacht for other branches of the armed forces (e.g. general of the parachute troops , general of the armored troops ).
