General of the intelligence force was a military rank of the army ( Wehrmacht 1933-1945 ).

It corresponded to that of a general in the branch of arms . This general rank was only awarded twice for the army intelligence forces and is therefore a specialty within the ranking system.

A general in the air intelligence force was awarded as a rank for the air force .

Similar rank designations were introduced by the Wehrmacht for other branches of the armed forces (e.g. general of the parachute troops , general of the armored troops ).
