Genki Nakayama ( Japanese 中山 元 気 Nakayama Genki ; born September 15, 1981 in Yamaguchi Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Nakayama learned to play soccer on the school team at Tatara Gakuen High School . He signed his first contract in 2000 with the Sanfrecce Hiroshima . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . At the end of the 2002 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 2003 he was runner-up with the club in the J2 League and rose again to the J1 League. For the club he completed 34 league games. In 2005 he moved to the second division Consadole Sapporo . In 2007 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose to the J1 League. At the end of the 2008 season, the club rose again from the J2 League. For the club he completed 155 league games. In 2010 he moved to the first division club Shonan Bellmare . For the club, he completed three top division games. He then played for Renofa Yamaguchi FC . At the end of 2012 he ended his career as a football player.
