Genlisea roraimensis is a plant from the genus of genlisea ( Genlisea ) within the lentibulariaceae (Lentibulariaceae). This carnivorous plant thrives on tepuis in Brazil , Guyana, and Venezuela .

description

Genlisea roraimensis is relatively small compared to other Genlisea species. The dark green leaves are spatulate. The short peduncle is hairy glandular. The tiny flowers are yellow. The spur is shorter than the lower lip of the corolla, which distinguishes it from the other yellow-flowered Genlisea species from South America .

distribution

This South American species is found in Brazil , Guyana and Venezuela . It grows in very high areas of the Tepuis ( Roraima , Kukenan Tepui, Cerro Marahuaka).

Taxonomy

The first description of Genlisea roraimensis was in 1901 by Nicholas Edward Brown .
