Geo herring
Geo Hering (born May 8, 1903 in Zogenreuth , Upper Palatinate, † November 16, 1970 in Kempten (Allgäu) ) was a German journalist and writer.
Career
Hering comes from a long-established Upper Palatinate farming family. After graduating from high school, he studied at the University of Munich. From 1930 to 1935 he was editor of the Memminger Volksblatt , then from 1937 to 1945 of the Allgäuer Tagblatt in Kempten. From 1947 he was editor-in-chief of the Allgäuer Bauernblatt and from 1952 of the magazine Das Schöne Allgäu .
He published several novels and short stories under the pseudonyms GH Zogenreuth and Georg Dorn .
