Zogenreuth is a district of the town of Auerbach in the Upper Palatinate in the Upper Palatinate district of Amberg-Sulzbach in Bavaria .
The village is about 2.5 km northeast of Auerbach.
history
Emperor Heinrich II. And his wife Kunigunde donated many areas to the diocese of Bamberg in 1008 , including Zogenreuth and many other places in the Upper Palatinate area. The local history is identical to that of Zogenreuth Castle up to the 17th century , from the 11th to the 15th century the Zogenreuthers are called the Bamberg ministerial . After various owners, the Hofmark Zogenreuth came to the Merz family in 1589. The last of this family was Johann Andrä Mertz, who died in 1754 without a male heir. So that was feud Attracted Reuth back to the Bishop of Bamberg.
As a result, Bishop Franz Konrad von Stadion and Thannhausen awarded Zogenreuth to the Bamberg baron Heinrich von Oberkamp. This was followed in 1763 by his sons Philipp Joseph and Karl. Since they were not legally qualified, but had to exercise the lower jurisdiction as Hofmark holders, they transferred the jurisdiction to the Michelfeld monastery judge Jakob Joseph von Peyerer, who held it until 1799. The three daughters of Johann Andrä Mertz still owned houses and land in Zogenreuth that did not belong to the fiefdom and therefore remained in their possession. They first tried this property to sell to local farmers, but then the city Auerbach on acquired Michaelmas (September 29) of 1784 these remaining Merz's possession for the Civic Hospital, about 50 Tagwerk forest and three houses around 4,000 guilders. In 1807 Baron Franz von Oberkamp, the Duke of Nassau's Chief of Staff in Wiesbaden, owned Zogenreuth. From the 19th century
The political community Zogenreuth was formed in 1818 from the localities Zogenreuth, Dammelsdorf, Göttersdorf and Eibenstock. In 1939 Eibenstock was relocated when the Grafenwöhr military training area was expanded . In 1946 the community was dissolved, Zogenreuth came to the community Degelsdorf and with this on May 1, 1978 to the city of Auerbach.
On January 1, 2010, 114 people lived in about 30 houses in Zogenreuth.
