Geoff Thompson (football official)

Geoff Thompson OBE (born August 23, 1945 in Sheffield ) is an English lawyer and international football official.

From 1999 to 2008 he was chairman of the English Football Association (The Football Association) . He has been a member of the UEFA Executive Committee since 2000. In 2007 he was elected at short notice as a substitute candidate in place of the Scot John McBeth for Vice-President of the FIFA Executive Committee.
