Geoff Vanderstock
Geoff Vanderstock (actually Geoffrey Peter Vanderstock; born October 8, 1946 in Chicago ) is a former American hurdler who specialized in the 400-meter distance .
On September 11, 1968, he set a world record at the US Olympic elimination in South Lake Tahoe with 48.8 s (electronically stopped 48.94 s). At the Olympic Games in Mexico City he was fourth in 49.0 s, at the same time as Gerhard Hennige (silver) and John Sherwood (bronze) and 0.9 s behind David Hemery , who improved the world record to 48.1 s.
