Geonext (own spelling:) is a so-called dynamic geometry software (DGS), which was completely developed in Java . It was further developed from 1999 to 2007 at the Faculty of Mathematics and its Didactics of the University of Bayreuth from the Geonet program.
Geonext is subject to the GNU General Public License and is available free of charge for the Windows , GNU / Linux and Mac OS X operating systems. It is now in version 1.74.
A similar program, also available free of charge, is GeoGebra .
Awards
On the Learntec 2007, the year in Karlsruhe held congress fair for e-learning , the programmers of Geonext, Carsten Miller and Volker Ulm, the German e-learning innovation and junior award (D-ELINA) 2007 received.
