Georg Adam Bauer

Georg Adam Bauer (* 1828 in Wunsiedel in the Fichtelgebirge , † 1901 in Regensburg ) was a German royal Bavarian engineer .

From 1865, Bauer was the "section engineer" of the Altmühlbahn , which opened on October 2, 1869, and is now the section of the Treuchtlingen – Nuremberg line . Among other things, he was responsible for the appearance of the station buildings within his route section. This also includes the station building of the city of Weißenburg in Bavaria , a major district town in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia . A few weeks after the inauguration of the railway line, he was made the first honorary citizen of the city of Weissenburg on November 12, 1869 .
