Georg Brüggen

Georg Brüggen (born May 11, 1958 in Ibbenbüren ) is a German lawyer and former minister of state.

biography

After attending school, Brüggen studied law and business administration. During his studies he advertised at the Corps Rheno-Guestphalia Münster , to which he now belongs as an old man . He completed the courses in 1990 with a second state examination and a diploma. After working in the private sector, he moved to the state service of the Free State of Saxony in 1991 , initially in the State Chancellery until 1995 , then in the Ministry of the Interior until 1998 . From 1998 to 2000 he was regional president in the administrative region of Chemnitz / South West Saxony , then State Secretary in the Thuringian Ministry of the Interior . From 2001 to 2002 he headed the Saxon State Chancellery as Minister of State under Prime Minister Kurt Biedenkopf .

After leaving the Saxon civil service, Brüggen founded a law firm with a focus on public law and commercial law based in Dresden, Chemnitz and Berlin. Since 2007 he has been a member of the ethics committee of the Medical Faculty of the TU Dresden and currently lecturer at the TU Chemnitz for public commercial law.
