He then worked at the Court Theater of Kassel (1898–1902), again at the Mainz City Theater (1902–1903), at the Wroclaw Opera House (1902–1908) and at the Danzig City Theater (1908–1909).

Since the summer of 1891 he sang at the Bayreuth Festival , a. a. from 1891 to 1892 as "Landgraf" in Tannhäuser and as "König Marke" in Tristan , in 1894 again as "Landgraf", also as "König Heinrich" in Lohengrin and as "Gurnemanz" in Parsifal . In 1893 he was the Landgrave at the Wagner performances in Munich, and in 1896 and 1899 in Amsterdam the "Pogner" in the Mastersingers .

He was also active and respected as a concert singer.
