Georg Daniel Seyler
Georg Daniel Seyler (* 1686 ; † 1745 in Elbing ) was the rector of the Elbing grammar school from 1734 until his death .
Life
Seyler founded an association in Elbing based on the model of Gottfried Lengnich's Societas litteraria in Danzig . In 1740 he published a paper in Elbing for the 300th anniversary of Gutenberg's birthday . He wrote about money and coinage , about Elector Friedrich Wilhelm and about Prussia Occidentalis , Western Prussia. Seyler was particularly known for the Hermann von Balcke Festival to mark the commemoration of Hermann von Balks and the start of the city of Elbing.
