Georg Friedrich von Schönberg (born November 27, 1586 in Mittelfrohna , † October 23, 1650 in Freiberg ) was an electoral Saxon miner and official governor . He was lord of Mittelfrohna, Reichenbrand and Pfaffroda as well as captain of the Ore Mountains.

Life

Georg Friedrich von Schönberg came from the Saxon noble family of those von Schönberg and was the son of the chamberlain Georg von Schönberg the Elder. J. († 1614). After his death, the funeral sermon he gave appeared in print. His sons were Caspar von Schönberg (mountain captain) and Gotthelf Friedrich von Schönberg (1631–1708) .
