Georg Gravenhorst

Georg Gravenhorst (born May 21, 1883 in Halle (Saale) , † 1967 ) was a German ministerial official and insurance manager.

Life

After graduating from the Stadtgymnasium in Halle, Georg Gravenhorst studied law at the Universities of Halle and Munich. In 1902 he became a member of the Corps Franconia Munich . In 1905 he passed the court traineeship exam. In 1906 he was promoted to Dr. jur. PhD. After the assessor exam, he worked from 1910 to 1912 at the Prussian Higher Administrative Court in Berlin. From 1912 to 1918 he was a government assessor and later a councilor in Lüneburg and from 1918 to 1920 as a councilor in Königsberg. From 1919 to 1920 he held a lectureship in administrative law at the University of Königsberg.

From 1921 to 1926 Gravenhorst was a member of the government, senior government and most recently Ministerialrat in the Reich Ministry of Finance. Then he pretended to be President of the Senate in the Reich Insurance Office until 1928. From 1928 he was director of the wholesale and storage trade association in Berlin and from 1948 in Mannheim. In addition to his administrative and managerial duties, he wrote numerous articles on constitutional and administrative law topics.
