Georg Gronemann was a German photographer and publisher of postcards in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Life

Studios

In the 19th century Georg Gronemann had a photo studio in Walsrode on the corner of Marktstrasse and Eichstrasse (today: Oskar-Wolff-Strasse ), where he also lived. From 1895 he ran a branch near Munster at the local "shooting range" .

Works

Around 1895 Georg Gronemann began, along with the photographers Max Bolloni , Hermann Lenthe 'and the Schelling company , with the publication of postcards, through which locals and summer visitors then recruited new visitors to the Lüneburg Heath .

Georg Gronemann left the most numerous views of Walsrode of all photographers - especially in the period up to the First World War . According to the city ​​archivist Gunther Gerhardt, his works were kept in the city's photo archive , supplemented by the collection of Hansjörg Sibus . Gronemann's works were part of an exhibition and form the main part of the 1998 illustrated book Walsrode with historical views.
