Georg Holfelder

Georg Holfelder (born August 27, 1929 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German orthopedist and medical professional politician .

Live and act

Georg Holfelder studied physics and medicine at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt / Main from 1950 to 1956 after attending the Lessing grammar school in Frankfurt am Main and the state grammar school in Posen . After passing the state examination and doctorate as Dr. med. in the same year (subject of “body weights of babies in a big city”) he completed his clinical training in Höxter / Westphalia, Bad Orb, Lübeck and Heidelberg. He was recognized as a specialist in orthopedics in 1963.

In 1965 Georg Holfelder set up his own practice in Frankfurt am Main. From 1984 to 2000 he was a member of the Presidium of the State Medical Association of Hesse, and from 1987 to 1999 President of the Association of Professional Medical Associations (GFB).
