The Paracelsus Medal of the German medical profession is the highest award given by the German medical profession to deserving doctors. It has been awarded to two to six physicians every year since 1952 at the German Medical Congress.

The medal honors doctors for their services in the sense of Paracelsus , "who have made special contributions to the reputation of the doctor through an exemplary medical attitude or through successful professional work or outstanding scientific achievements."
