Rolf Schlögell

Rolf (Rudolf) Schlögell (born January 7, 1921 in Bremen ; † May 8, 1984 ) was a German physician and medical officer.

biography

Schlögell obtained his Abitur at the old grammar school in Bremen in 1939 . He then studied medicine at the University of Marburg , the University of Strasbourg and the University of Heidelberg . After his license to practice medicine and doctorate in 1944, he worked as a research assistant at the Pathological Institute at the University of Marburg until 1947. Schlögell was one of the founding members of the Marburg Federation and was a member of the first freely elected city council of Marburg (Lahn) after the Second World War.

From 1947 Schlögell worked for the working group of the West German Medical Chambers, which later became the Federal Medical Association. In this context he was involved in the dissemination and interpretation of the resolution of the West German Chamber of Physicians on the Nuremberg Doctors Trial from 18/19. Involved October 1947 .

From 1951 to 1977 he was the general manager of the working group of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, which later became the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians .

In 1949 Schlögell helped found the Federal Association of Liberal Professions . From 1977 until shortly before his death he was its chairman.
