Horst Joachim Adolf August Rheindorf (born May 6, 1922 in Kassel ; † May 7, 2018 in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe ) was a German physician and medical professional .

Live and act

Horst Joachim Rheindorf studied after high school and military service as an infantryman and in the medical service medicine at the Medical Faculty of the Philipps University of Marburg from 1943 to 1950 and was there Dr. med. PhD. After clinical work in the gynecological clinic and the medical clinic of the University of Marburg until 1953, he worked full-time in medical self-administration in Hesse from 1953 - as medical director from 1956 until his retirement in 1987.

On his initiative, the Academy for Medical Training and Continuing Education of the State Medical Association of Hesse and the Carl Oelemann School in Bad Nauheim were founded.
