Otto Lippross (doctor)

Otto Lippross (* 1910 in Dortmund ; † April 20, 1997 ibid.) Was a German physician and medical professional politician .

Live and act

Otto Lippross studied medicine at the Universities of Karlsruhe, Marburg, Munich, Berlin and Jena; After his license to practice medicine, he worked in pathology and pharmacology in Dortmund and Düsseldorf and was recognized as an internist in 1940 . In 1943 he qualified as an external lecturer at the University of Leipzig . After the end of the Second World War, he settled in Dortmund as an internist.

Lippross was involved in professional politics for many years. In 1953, the German Medical Association elected him to the German Senate for Medical Training, of which he was Chairman from 1979 to 1982.

In 1970 he was appointed honorary professor with a teaching position for physical therapy at the University of Münster .
